Matthew 5:14-16 says, ‘Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.’ As we consider the condition of the United States of America today, can we truly say that our lights as Christians are shining brightly? We have a responsibility to do everything we can to keep a lost and dying world from spending an eternity in Hell.
My heart was burdened recently about the condition of our country and God led me to begin working on this National Day of Evangelism. Since that time I have seen overwhelming support and excitement from God’s people all across the country. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that something needs to be done. This website is designed to help beginning, growing, and experienced soulwinners to effectively reach their communities. The resources listed are not an exhaustive list. The sermons are handpicked to address certain important topics relevant to today’s needs. The people involved span the world of fundamentalism. This is not a day about anybody, any camp, any organization, or any church. This day is about the souls of those that are lost and on their way to a Christless eternity in Hell. Will you join us in praying for a successful day on October 18, 2008?
The picture chosen for this website was intentional. To me it pictures the day in which we live here in America. We are the lighthouse set on a hill to warn those in danger, and the sun is setting around us. The truth is, the sun is setting on our country and it’s important for us to shine brighter than ever before so the United States will continue to be a haven for those that need the Lord. May God help us to go forward for Him and reach thousands, even millions for Christ on this special day.
